Location: Dublin North; with occasional travel to meet clients or visit other operational sites

Hours of Work: 40hours Monday – Friday, with occasional Saturday.

 

Due to our commitment to sales growth, we now have an opportunity for a full-time permanent Sales & Operations Manager to join our team within the Construction and Hard Landscaping Industry.

Job Purpose

The Sales and Operations Manager is responsible for overseeing both the sales performance and the day-to-day operational activities of the business. This role ensures seamless integration between sales targets, customer service, and operational efficiency. The manager is tasked with driving revenue growth, improving operational processes, and leading a team to achieve business objective

Key Responsibilities

1. Sales Management and Growth

· Drive overall sales strategy to meet or exceed revenue targets and increase market share.

· Develop and manage sales plans that align with company goals, identifying key growth areas and sales opportunities.

· Lead and mentor the sales team, ensuring that they are motivated, trained, and achieving individual targets.

· Build strong relationships with customers, understanding their needs and ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.

· Collaborate with marketing teams to develop campaigns and promotional activities that support sales goals.

 

2. Operations Management

· Oversee the daily operations of the business, including Stock management, order processing, and logistics.

· Ensure operational efficiency by optimizing processes and workflows, reducing costs, and enhancing productivity.

· Coordinate with our production to ensure timely delivery of products and services.

· Implement and maintain inventory control systems, ensuring accurate stock levels to meet customer demand while minimizing waste.

· Monitor and improve operational performance using KPIs such as delivery times, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction.

 

3. Team Leadership and Development

· Lead and manage both the sales and operations teams, setting clear goals and expectations.

 

4. Customer Service and Satisfaction

· Ensure that customer needs are met, overseeing the delivery of high-quality service from order placement to fulfilment.

· Resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely and professional manner, ensuring a positive experience.

· Work closely with sales and operations teams to implement solutions that address customer concerns while optimizing service levels.

 

5. Reporting and Performance Monitoring

· Track and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) related to both sales and operational performance.

 

Key Skills and Competencies

· Sales Acumen: Strong sales background with the ability to set and achieve revenue goals, understand market trends, and develop strategies to grow the business.

· Operational Expertise: Experience in managing operational processes, logistics, and supply chain functions to ensure efficiency.

· Leadership and Team Management: Proven leadership skills with the ability to inspire and develop sales and operational teams.

· Problem-solving: Strong ability to identify issues, create solutions, and implement process improvements to overcome challenges.

 

Qualifications and Experience

· Experience: 5+ years of experience in a combined sales and operations role, preferably within a logistics, supply chain, or distribution environment. Proven track record of managing a sales team and driving revenue growth while ensuring operational efficiency.

· IT Skills: Proficient in Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, inventory management software, and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
